Being an indigenous woman it is my responsibility to provide our babies coming up with knowledge and awareness of past, present and future understandings pertaining to who they are and which direction they are going in. Living in 2015, yet being raised in the 70's, 80's and 90's by elders within my nation who come from the old way, it has been difficult to discern to the young people truth and reality in their history. Through our mandated education systems what is and has been portrayed to their existence is completely irrelevant to their indigenous history. It is through the hard work, compassion and love of Adrien Heckstall that I have come to trust and allow this site to be an educational platform to enlighten our young people in some ancestral roots of this very sacred island we call North and South America.
